Can't get over how long this game was. In 40 years as a Dodger fan this is the only time I can ever recall an afternoon game at Dodger Stadium (2PM start) lasting into the evening hours. No wonder they put the new rules in to speed the games up.

I remember watching all 18 innings with my cousins and thinking by the 15th inning it should be done. As an Astros fan, I didn’t care who won at that point, I just wanted to see some good baseball like we did the games before this one. So to see this game go on for 6 hours and not a single run scoring, just boggled my brain. The mariners fought really hard and honestly deserved to advance as much as the Astros should’ve. I remember telling my cousins in the bottom of the 17th that this game was a marathon for both sides of the pitching rotation and bullpen but at the end of the day, the one who has their head up at the end of the marathon will win and the Astros prevailed. GO ‘STROS 🧡🤍💙🚀🧑‍🚀 (also isn’t crazy out of all the veteran players on the Astros that played in this game, the only player to get a run was a rookie, i always thought this was the craziest part of this game) and I know I’m just rambling but I felt bad seeing those fans behind the plate, this wasn’t even a good game where the Astros and mariners were fighting it out with runs. It was a game of pop ups, ground balls, and strikeouts and the occasional base hit once in a while. This game could’ve been so much better if the Astros and mariners didn’t have such fuckin surgeons precisely cutting up the strike zone for 17.5 innings straight. This game will always be one to remember tho even though it was a snooze fest for the first 15 innings.
